The Clock (formerly Thirsk Clock) is a charity aiming to support young people throughout North Yorkshire. The Clock’s vision is to increase the potential of young people in playing a full part in the social and economic life of Thirsk and North Yorkshire.

The Clock is an independent charity which provides social activities and support services to young people. It also provides services to the wider community.

The Challenge

The Clock wanted a fresh, exciting approach to increase the visibility and accessibility of their services, and raise their profile in the wider community. Their ideal marketing strategy included a website overhaul and an integrated marketing campaign using social media and search marketing to raise brand awareness.

The Solution

We approached The Clock in November 2012 to offer our assistance in implementing The Clock’s marketing strategy. We worked with The Clock’s designated web designer to deliver an integrated marketing campaign to support the launch of the new website.

This involved optimising The Clock’s website to maximise the charity’s reach, achieving #1 positions in leading search engines for their keyword strategy throughout North Yorkshire. Our integrated analytics and social media consultancy enabled The Clock to communicate more effectively with young people throughout their locality using digital media channels.

The Result

As a result of the initial marketing campaign, The Clock’s brand following on social media channels increased by 325% over 3 months, enabling them to raise awareness of their services more effectively throughout North Yorkshire.

The Clock achieved #1 rankings in all major search engines for their keyword strategy, which has provided the charity with a 600% increase in web traffic. The new website provides young people across North Yorkshire with the information they need to access The Clock’s essential support services.
